Equipment Restrictions
Highland Spring HIHO rules limit windsurfing & SUP competitors to using only one board and (if applicable) any 3 sails throughout the event.
Racers in the Fanatic Adventure One Design class must use the 12’ Fanatic Ray; windsurfers in the Techno 2 class must us the BIC Techno 2 283 148 liter model board. Racers in the wind and SUP Open classes may use any board, as long as it is shorter the 14’.
Note that we do not provide paddles or leashes. SUP competitors should bring both.
Equipment Rental
SUPRent the 12’ Fanatic Ray for $225. Fanatic will also offer boards for Open class racers, and the organizers have a limited number of boards suitable for the Open class, including Naish, Starboard & Jimmy Lewis designs.
WindHighland Spring HIHO sponsors BIC Sport & Neilpryde offer equipment available for rent to all participants.
BIC Techno 2: 283 148 liter model. Please note that we may not be able to guarantee you a new Techno 2 board.
NeilPryde V8: 8.0, 8.5, 9.0 & 10.0
NeilPryde Hellcat: 5.7, 6.2, 6.7, 7.2, 7.7 & 8.2
Sails come with appropriate mast, boom, extension & base. Sail rental fee is for two rigs and components. You will most likely receive 2 masts but only 1 boom and one extension.
Windsurfing racers must bring the following gear: harness, uphaul, harness lines & adjustable outhauls.
